Twin Transit’s Community Van program helps local nonprofits, organizations and government agencies with their transportation needs by providing a ready-to-go-van for up to 12 people. Organizations can use these vans to attend trainings, deliver assistance or services, and otherwise further the good work they do every day.
The best part? The only cost is a small per-mile fee.
How Does It Work?
- Vans can be scheduled by calling Twin Transit at 360-330-2072 or e-mailing Vans@TwinTransit.org. Please call at least 10 days in advance to reserve a vehicle, as the application, training and certifying your driver(s) typically takes approximately 7 business days. Trips must originate within our service area and remain within 250 miles of this area, within Washington State.
- After scheduling a van with us, simply print and/or complete the operator application, then drop it off at our business office located at 1638 Bishop Road in Chehalis, Washington.
- Once the application process has been approved and you have completed training, we can schedule a time for you to pick up the van.
- The community van usage fee is $0.81 per mile for each trip, which includes fuel. There is no additional daily charge. Twin Transit maintains and insures the vans.
