With summer in full swing, you may be wondering how to help your kids get where they need to go. When school isn’t in session, teens and tweens are often faced with long days at home. If they don’t have access to transportation, they’re unable to meet up with friends, participate in summer activities, or visit fun places around the Twin Cities like Thorbeckes, Shankz, and local parks.
Fortunately – kids ride free on Twin Transit!
This applies to all kids, age 18 and under, and those still in high school. Kids age 10 and up are allowed to ride unaccompanied, while those nine and under are required to have a responsible chaperone age 16 or up to accompany them. No passes are required, although a student ID is recommended for older children.
What if you don’t live near a Twin Transit bus line?
You can book a pre-arranged ride for your child on our new door-to-door transportation service, DARTT! For more information, visit TwinTransit.org/DARTT.
